We joined Kleeneze at the end of June 2005 as a way of earning some extra money. We had bought a blind cleaning franchise 12 months earlier because we both wanted to get out of our full time jobs and work for ourselves. I was working as a Primary Teacher which was very stressful and left me with little free time, Maureen was a Security Agent doing long hours and different shifts each week. To try and ease ourselves into self employment and reduce the financial risks involved, we both changed to working part time at our jobs while also working part time at the franchise.

I started Kleeneze to earn some extra money in my spare time to add to the income from my part-time job in a garden centre. I was looking for something where I was able to work the hours I wanted to and where I felt it was possible to make real progress through my own effort. I soon gave up my part-time job and concentrated on Kleeneze, still on a part-time basis, finding that I could easily exceed the garden centre wages.
David has had a successful career in the IT industry as a self-employed consultant. David’s goal is to give up jumping from one contract assignment to the next to concentrate on our career together in network marketing.
